work yesterday was pretty brutal. it was so so so so busy, maybe even busier than fortinos day, and that was crazy. i was at the front helping put wristbands on people for entry into the park. i hate the wristbands, way too time consuming. and there was so many foreign people who didnt understand what i was trying to do, and it was very frustrating. one family tried to sneak their 2 kids in the pool, who were clearly not eligible to get in free since they were way older than 3, but yeah, they tried to convince us that they didnt need to pay. yeah well, sorry ma'am, your kids are not 3. work lunch was pretty sweet though. i was helping the pavilions, and to my surprise, they were having licks cater the whole thing. woohoo. i had 2 nature burgers, yes 2, because im a tank like that. hah. i just eat like im a fatty. but they were soo good. and i was soo hungry.
yesterday night was so fun. best night i've had in a long long time. me and john decided that we should go out to starbucks since we were both bored and had nothing to do. thank god we both turned our boredom into a sweet time. it took us a while to find people to go with, so i ended up inviting my friend jimmy. he's pretty sweet. john got there first, and i rode my bike down. i met up with him and then we ordered our drinks as we waited for jimmy. green tea lemonadeee<3. starbucks. we saw a couple of johns friends, or acquaintances. and then we saw carly, and her friends megan and christi, and another girl. carly told us that charles was walking up this way, and i was super excited. i love charles. as we were going to shoppers to purchase the newest issue of nylon, charles came walking by with derron and carley. they're all pretty sweet. so we talked for a bit, then bought my magazine. after shoppers, dave called john, and he ended up meeting us too with cristina - who has my pictures from this expedition, but is super slow - and so we were greeted by a white van and super loud honks. man it scared me hah. then cristina spotted sam and melanie, and had a hay day with the steering wheel. she honked at them like crazy from the parking lot. they told us about a fight at st. clare, but we didnt really care. so they went to check it out. they left, and we continued to talk. then jimmy's dad came to pick him up, so we said byee. about 45 minutes later, me and john decided to bike home, being the gentleman that he is, he rode me home because it was dark haha. on the way home, we saw christina bell and her friend from work, they were coming home from a bowling party. i love herr. i showed john how to get out of my survey, and we said goodbye for the night. i loved the whole night. it was awesome.
my sister came home today, so i was so happy to see her after work. she bought be my shoess! blue reebok freestyles baby. i was so stoked. it was definitely so good to see her, and my shoes :) very nice to come home to, after you had to clean the nasty work bathroom. ew. but shoes always make me happy. woooooooooo!
photoshoot coming up this week at daves, and tomorrow...I GET THESE TRAIN TRACKS OFF MY TEETH!! woohoo. never have i had a week that would bring me so much joy. wow. this is great. pictures will definitely be posted later. from the photoshoot, and starbucks. cristina is just a little slow with the sending process. well, later days!
oh yeah, today at work i saw ashley leggat (casey from life with derek) hah local celebrity! be jealous.

songs of experience
- Tyger! Tyger! burning bright,
- In the forests of the night,
- What immortal hand or eye
- Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
- In what distant deeps or skies
- Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
- On what wings dare he aspire?
- What the hand dare sieze the fire?
- And what shoulder, & what art,
- Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
- And when thy heart began to beat,
- What dread hand? & what dread feet?
- What the hammer? what the chain?
- In what furnace was thy brain?
- What the anvil? what dread grasp
- Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
- When the stars threw down their spears,
- And water'd heaven with their tears,
- Did he smile his work to see?
- Did he who made the Lamb make thee?
beautiful. the dangerous lives of altar boys is a great movie. and that is a lovely poem.

hey world, here i am... nobody, no nobody is gonna rain om my parade!
Don't tell me not to fly
I've simply got to
If someone takes a spill
It's me and not you
Don't bring around the cloud to rain on my parade
oh the lovely words of bobby darin came to mind today as the rain poured down as i was leaving work. i asked, "why couldn't it have rained at 8 o'clock, i could have been home by now?!" yeah, it rained pretty hard, like cats and dogs. it was like a cloud up-chucking, yeah thats what it was like. and the rain is never complete without thunder and lightning. no way. but the storm was pretty calming in a way, i love watching a good storm.
anyway, today at work was pretty hilarious. i basically stayed in the tube building all day, and did a couple of tray runs, and about 20 minutes of pick-sticking all day. we had some sweet conversations, but i dont quite remember them, although, i remember them being really funny. me and matt talked about dance for like an hour. oh the politics. im thinking of taking some sweet hip hop classes next year, anyone know of a good place in the hamilton area? if so, leave me a comment. word up. anywhoo, kristen perkin is coming over tonight, and im stoked. i havent seen her since end of school. actually thats a lie, i saw her at zoops birthday, or angelicas birthday, or both, but thats it. that was like in june. whatever. shes sweet, and im excited. we'll probably watch the dangerous lives of alter boys, which is a sweet movie. i suggest you rent or purchase this movie. its for your own good. do it!
well, im out. later days!

hang in there, it's an eight hour work day
well today work was pretty darn awesome. everyone went camping yesterday, well most people, and this morning at work everyone was sooooooooo hung over. its was the funniest morning. complete with tube races, tube room naps, and kurt talking with a british accent, it may have been the funniest day by far. i even got picked up and thrown into the tubes myself. and i have to admit, it was kind of fun. the tubes were so comfy. so today, i did nothing much at work.
i have an orthodontist appointment tomorrow!! i get my top impressions which means the tops are going to come off soooon! woohoo once and for all. and i get my teeth all perfect and such. wow. i am the most excited person ever. except i hate impressions. so so so much. i need to pray man. wow i always gag like a big loser. i have to do it so good. i have to breatheeeeeeeeeeee. i'll be too excited. for sure. yeah. well. later days.

you're what the french call, les incompétents
today i was supposed to go to scenefest, and i was super upset that the plans were ruined. i was looking forward to it for basically the whole year (kind of pathetic, but true). so anyways, my sister was doing a photo shoot today for circuit for the blackout, and she asked me to tag along for some help. we went to a bunch of random places, including a variety store, some train tracks, and some abandoned old shack. the picture i saw looked pretty good, so the results should be pretty sweet. the band seemed pretty happy. then my sister got me a strawberry sundae at McDonald's and it was so so good. mmmmmmmmmmmmm. anyways, later days.

the end of late fees. sh-sh-sh-sherkstonnnn shores.
alright, so on tuesday i went up to sherkston, and stayed till today (thursday). i went up with monz and stephen and dee and danielle. we sang like a choir in the car on the way there, rocking out to our guilty pleasure bands. when we arrived we were greeted by the rain, and some great food. salmon for me and dee, and sausage for everyone else, along with some amazing potatoes, greek salad, and corn on the cob. divine. everyone's favourite little girl was cute as ever, as she was super excited to see all of us "older kids" walk through the screen door.
the next day, we headed to the beach, and desperately waited for the sun to come out. by 1 o'clock, the sun was shining bright, and we were all getting the tans we were longing for. i wore my awesome gold bathing suit; stellar for sure. i got a sun burn too. but its not too bad. dinner that night was salmon for me - again- and steak for everyone else. we also had shrimp, grilled veggies, and salad complete with feta cheese. the salmon i ate was soo so so good. maybe the best salmon i have ever had. thanks mom:) after dinner, we chilled out, tried to watch talladega nights, and then had a bonfire. me james and stephen and monica went to the store to buy some marshmallows, and then searched the fields for some perfect roasting sticks. roasted marshmallows are so good. wow. after the fire, we went to bed. woke up this morning to some more grey clouds, and eventually rain. since me stephen and monica we going to today, we wanted one last venture to the beach. it warmed up a bit. me and my babygirl marissa ran eagerly into the waves of lake erie. woooo. her little shoes kept falling off as she was getting splashed in the face with the waves. we jumped around in the water for a bit, then we all relaxed, and sat on the sand. we didnt have faith in the sun today, so we just decided to head back to our trailers. after that, we freshened up, and ate some burgers (veggie for mee) before we headed on to the highways. uncle cha took the liberties of driving us home, and i fell asleep in the van within 10 minutes. so overall, my 2 days at sherkston were pretty good. and i came back with a sweet tan. ba da ba ba ba, i'm lovin it.
tonight me and dee ate panzerotti, it was pretty good. and now so you think you can dance is on. so ima head down stairs and watch it sooooon. later days.

oh yeah, everyone knew rebecca was going to win canadas next top model too.

she works hard for her money, so hard for her money.
today work was actually kind of fun. i worked up at the pavs and there was like a cotton candy machine, a snow cone machine, and a popcorn machine. i was making cotton candy, and spinning it and it was going out of control. the machine started smoking, and the candy strands were like flying in my hair. my eyes started watering, and i was making the ugliest cotton candy bunches ever. they were like lopsided, candy goodness. then i was making popcorn, and i was like the queen of the popcorn machine. but then i burned myself, pouring the artificial butter (for a "butter-like" taste) into the kettle thing. the snow cone machine was so great. you like put the ice in a hole in the top, turn on the grinder, and then all the ice gets crushed into snow, and its so high-tech. it was so awesome. haha work today was so so so crazy. never a dull moment.
oh yeah, and another group brought alcohol in again. haha. nice.

greasy floor in the ollies shack.
today work was not too bad. david is actually hilarious. yep. i got to hang out with matt in ollie's today, where the floor is like an ice rink - thats how greasy it is. we like to pretend were in one of those old restaurants where the waitresses delivered food on roller skates. because we're cool. this weekend, i plan on staying up at the pavilions and helping the groups, instead of picking garbage. its a step up, let me tell you.

walk out the door, wind blowin' up your skirt. delightful.
today was the big trip. the highly anticipated ride to the t.dot with kristennnnnn(zoop) yeah man. it was super fun. we spent almost twelve hours walking around the streets. i finally got my gold lamé bathing suit, and it was so meant to be. i went in, but to my dismay, they only had size mediums. but, as i asked for one in the back, turns out they were getting a whole new shipment. yep. totally meant to be. i love it.
we saw cory from canadas next top model!!!!! woo. it was pretty awesome. but she wasnt very tall, and i dont think she was taller than either of us. it was weird.
next we were on a mission to get a dress for zoop. it took us all day, and like every store, but we finally found a winner. and it was a bargain too! she got a really cute bedspread as well. little birdies.
toronto was an adventure for us, and we didnt even get lost. we were super proud. and when we went to get on to queen street, we walked out of the eaton centre, and the wind was crazy. we are so smart, and wore dresses on the windiest day ever. we multi-tasked for sure. holding our bags, walking down the street and trying not to pull a britney spears. BUT we definitely both had undies on. obviously. i think we successfully kept everything covered.
later on, the train was so delayed getting home. it was like the longest ride ever. we stopped randomly in the middle of the tracks. it was so mental. and boring.
when i got home, i tuned in to so you think you can dance, and was again disappointed. anya should definitely not still be there at all. she pretty much kicked jessi out, and now shauna. wow. she sucks. can she leave already? man.
work tomorrow. and all weekend. joy. how i love picking garbage.
if anyone needs a worker, personal shopper, babysitter, etc. let me know. anything could be better than wild waterworks garbage, and washroom duty.

spills, thrills, and beverly hills
today might have been even hotter than yesterday, seriously. major heatwave comin' on. i watered the plants today, and as soon as i stepped outside, i swear i started sweating. and then when i walked back in, the air was on so high, it felt like a freezer. but only for a second.
later, tori picked me up and we went to go visit angelica! for just having an operation, she looks super good. shes just a bit swollen, but other than that, she looks totally normal. she even still has the dimple in her chin. trademark. we got her the high school musical dolls that sing, she was pretty stoked about that. so we were happy to see that she was doing well. keep getting better angelica!
we had chinese food tonight, which was pretty sweet. i love chinese. the broccoli is so so good. so good. after that, i was supposed to watch igby goes down on ifc, but the site got it all wrong, and it's not even on. major disappointment. maybe i'll just watch iron chef tonight. me and jimmy are like the only people living right now, so we are going to play games on msn. stoney creek sucks, specially when all your friends have pretty much disappeared off the face of the earth.
anyhow, tomorrow, if i read the book, i'm going to get my g1. im kinda nervous now. but i havent even read the book. if i dont read it tomorrow morning, or tonight before bed, then i cant take the test, and it will have to wait even longer. im such a slacker. i'll do it one day. thursday is t.dot with zoop! stoked.
oh yeah, and there was a chlorine leak/spill at my work today. definitely happy i wasnt working. wild waterworks is awesome eh?

downtown - no finer place, for sure
today, may very well have been the hottest day of summer so far. and having to wear pants to work does not help anythingggg. today, i topped burgers at work. joy joyy. i weeded in the sun, and washed trays too. high class i know. anyways, there was lightning today, and the pool was cleared for a while. thank god i didnt get drenched on the bike ride home.
anywhoo. ive got some pictures from the trip downtown with dave, rob, and michaela. thanks to her for sending them! we had a super fun time, and im pretty sure we are going to have an adventure in the t.dot on wednesday with kristen zoop. awesome. anyways the pictures are pretty fun. we took them in some creepy staircase, and then we like saw this weird reflection of light from one building on another, and decided to take a picture of that. cool

I put Lamborghini doors on that Es-co-lade
today was pretty boring. i hate waking up, but luckily, my mum drove me to work this morning. and made me really good salad for lunch! i had to stay with the tim hortons picnic all day today, and it was pretty busy. i got to have a half moon jos louis thing though, so thats pretty good. i spent my whole day checking names so that i didnt have wanderers trying to enter the picnic. the tim hortons guy was pretty strict. i got to be the person who said, oh excuse me, you can't go in there because you dont have a wristband. too bad for you. i had to work extra today, but hey, i got a 10 hour work day. more money for mee. even though minimum wage sucks. the weather was pretty crap today too. yeah.
by the way. my sister was the person who brought my idea to life on the screen with the dream big logo. big upps to her. woo. thanks db.
this week is going to be pretty packed. tuesday i'm going to visit angelica, wednesday (hopefully) i'm going to toronto, and thursday i am going to get my G1. finally. im so slow, but i dont want to drive. whatever, i suppose it doesnt hurt to have it. and then next week, is sherkston for a few days. sweet deal. bring on the sun.

dream big, and drink some spiked iced tea along the way.
today was a pretty fun filled day. went to work this morning at 8 (balls) and it was super hot. and i have to wear pants and steel toe shoes. ew. i got food from sweet customers though. veggie burger and butterscotch ice-cream! oh yeah, and i poured myself iced tea, and realized that it really didnt taste normal. i made my fellow support staff workers taste it, and we came to the conclusion that totally had alcohol in it. alcohol is prohibited where i work, and the people who brought it were high authority figures. they should definitely know better! tsk tsk police men. anywho, it was pretty funny, but i guess you had to be there. after work i went to jackson square to watch bands play on the roof. i really enjoyed cain and abel. they are super fun. after that, me and dave and rob, and michaela went to a pretty shotty pizza pizza. a deaf man asked us for money, and then we felt bad after because we didnt give him anything. sorry! we took some random pictures like in a creepy staircase outside of jackson square, and then dav
es mom picked us up.
on a different note, me and dave are designing t-shirts for a fund raiser that is going to take place in november for school. the shirts are going to be pretty sweet, and the whole night is going to be awesome. a fashion show, with designs by the one and only charles lu, and then student art for sale, and perhaps, students playing some music. we are going to be selling t-shirts to raise money for a committee at school that will travel to the dominican to help out with building a house for the less fortunate. its a really great cause, and i think the whole thing is a super stellar idea. so anyone in the hamilton area (or anywhere near it), mark november 28th of your calendar, and get ready for a good time.

they say it happens when the sun goes down

last night was game night, and the guys and dolls were in the house. we played a game of clue and disney trivia - both were unsuccessful but we had butloads of fun.

so basically, the games didnt go as planned, but we had time to make a human pyramid with kasia on top, and ashley dying in the middle. we also tested our strength by giving eachother doubly piggybacks. but once the games did start (i never said they finished, but we DID start) we had some intense playing going on.

And it rained all night
i woke up this morning to a thunderstorm. i decided to sit on my porch, and write a letter to my friend kerrie in Saskatchewan. the rain was peaceful, and the thunder sounded like gunshots from an old western movie (even though i don't watch westerns), but you get the point. watching the rain was super nice, i just want to watch it forever. at least i don't have to water the flowers.

that's WILD!
julyfest was a blast. Happy Birthday Canada! anyways, we had good times. definitely. the backyard gymnastics tradition lived on this year, as i did a flip for the first time in like 2 years. it was very exciting stuff. monica did a back tuck too! it was awesome.
the day after, i had to work, and by work i mean picking up garbage, and cleaning the grossest washrooms in the world. almost comparable to the washroom in trainspotting. almost. after work i fell asleep at 5pm, and didn't wake up till the next morning at 8. thats fifteen hours if you do the math. probably the best sleep ever.
