i'm talkin' downtown.

today we visited dee, and it was really good to see her. we went out for breakfast at frans - it was so yummy. i got banana pancakes, dee got blueberry, mom got the big breakfast, and dad got an omelette. i stole some of the parentals' homefries.. sooo good.

after breakfast we went out to the mall for a bit. basically just h&m where i got an awesome skirt. dee and dad went to pottery barn, and we were at winners for a little while too. we hit up urban, and i tried on a cute little dress, backless and such. but i picked the skirt instead.

the day was pretty successful i'd say. on the way out of the tdot, we saw a couple floats from the santa claus parade. they were so cute. one giant one with a penquin. awh. lovely. i slept the rest of the way home, until we went to walmart and fortinos. after that we came home, and mom made some pizzas, and i made banana bread with chocolate chips. i hope its good. anyways, it's probably ready to come out of the oven right now. its beeping! later days!

losing my religion

on wednesday, my religion class, as well as the other religion class went on a trip to a Hindu temple, a Muslim mosque, and a Jewish synagogue. although the classes had separate buses, me and charles managed to stay together for the most part. our first stop was the Hindu temple. it was so beautiful. as soon as we entered, i was amazed. all of the wood surrounding the walls, and ceiling was hand carved. it was so intricate, and stunning. then when we went into the actual temple, or the Mandira, and when we walked in there my breath was taken away. it was all marble, and hand carved. it was white, so it felt like an ice castle. beautiful. amazing. the ceiling domes had lights that changed colours, which lit up every nook and cranny in the carvings, enhancing the intricate designs. it was so pretty. there were statues of the Hindu gods in small alcoves in the walls. even those were amazing. one looked so real, it was scary. we weren't allowed to take pictures though.

the next stop was the mosque. when we got there, we walked straight downstairs. the mosque was much more simple than the temple. but for both places, we had to take off our shoes. in the mosque, the girls were asked to cover their hair with head scarves to respect the culture. we met the Imam, or spiritual leader of the mosque, and he was actually very interesting to listen to. he was very funny, and super relaxed towards us. he was down to earth, and i loved him. he was great. that visit was very enjoyable.

after the mosque, we headed to the mall to find lunch in the food court. me and charles stopped at the pickel barrel, by far the best place in the mall, so yummy. i had a tuna wrap..low carb hah. and charles had an assortment of little sandwiches. they were so cute. we ate in style for sure...only, we were wearing out school uniforms. after lunch, we had about 20 minutes to spare. what does one do with 20 minutes in a mall? turbo shop of course. we went to 3 or 4 stores i believe, and i even tried on a dress. it was so nice, but too small. oh well. anywho, we were scrambling, and rushing around. on the way out, we ran into tori and ash, who made us wait for them. they made is late for the bus hah, and then our teachers were a little mad. oh, five minutes isn't going to kill you.

okay so we loaded up the buses, and we were off to our 3rd and final stop. it was the Jewish synagogue. the boys had to wear the small hats on their heads, the kippah. the lady that greeted us was so nice, and very informative. she compared the jewish religion with christianity. its was interesting. we got to see artifacts saved from the holocaust, which was neat - the artifacts i mean, not the holocaust...anyways. we listened to the lady talk, and when she was done, our time was up. we headed back onto the buses, and then we were set for home. the trip was a pleasant suprise. i enjoyed my time for the most part.

anywaysssss. thats all for now. only 12 more days until the fashion showwwwwwwww! so exciteddd.

start the season with a bang

yesterday was our first volleyball tournament, but it didnt really count for much. it didnt place us, so it didnt matter how we did. we did well though. we won our first three games, and we were first in our pool. then for the afternoon, we had to face every other team who came first in their pool. we lost our last 2 games, which sucked, but they were so close. our team is so fun. it was a good tournament. and may i add, that with our new uniforms, especially the black ones, we look much more intimidating. awesome. i love them. next week is our next tournament, so we'll see how it goess. plus i'm playing indoor beach, and im stokedddd.
laterdayss.
